Saniwerke Import Wood

Wood Import

Saniwerke imports raw wood, swan timber globally in accordance with the laws and regulations of the importing and exporting countries and regions, as well as local customs.

The typical imported timber includes: Burmese teak, African iroko, Indonesian Merbau, South American Cumaru, Arctic pine, American quercusrubra, and Australian oak;

All timber has been processed in accordance with the equivalent inspection and quarantine policies of the exporting or importing country,

Saniwerke may store wood at the port for a certain period of time, mainly to remove the natural stress of wood fibers. Professional technicians will monitor and process these stored logs in real-time.

We will prioritize using timber that comply with FSC/EUTR995/DDS policies. At the same time, we also schedule to plant teak and merbau in Indonesia, which are ongoing projects.

Rope and Fabric

Saniwerke utilizes domestically sourced and American cotton yarns, along with specialized fibers, to manufacture ropes engineered to meet stringent weather resistance and UV protection specifications.

While our primary yarn supplier is a major publicly listed corporation (SZ:000850), we maintain flexibility in our supply chain to accommodate the diverse performance requirements of outdoor applications, ensuring no exclusive reliance on a single provider.

For fabric components, Saniwerke’s standard practice is to employ Sunbrella® brand textiles, certified to fulfill baseline 5-year outdoor durability warranties. All materials bearing the “Sunbrella” trademark are sourced under authorized agreement with Glen Raven, Inc., with manufacturing and application processes strictly adhering to internationally recognized quality standards and rigorous quality control protocols. Custom labeling options are available upon client request.

Permissible Natural Characteristics

Following precision manufacturing processes, wood substrates may retain minor natural characteristics such as small knots, insect boreholes, or hairline fissures. These inherent features do not compromise structural integrity or functional performance and are permissible under our quality management system’s controlled tolerance parameters.

Saniwerke maintains stringent defect classification criteria aligned with internationally recognized regulatory benchmarks, including:
– **Chinese Standards**: GB/T 4812-2006 (G4812), GB/T 4817-2009 (G4817), GB/T 4823-2015 (G4823)
– **North American Standards**: AWPA (American Wood Protection Association), ASTM International
– **Global Compliance**: ISO 9709, ISO 12122-2, ISO 737, ISO 1029

For bulk procurement contracts, Saniwerke implements customized quality assurance protocols through collaborative alignment with the end purchaser. This includes formalized specification reviews, defect tolerance thresholds, and inspection methodologies to ensure compliance with project-specific requirements.
